While OS X reported the drives in the machine in proper bay order, Windows 7 did not. Removed every partition, so yes it was scary (wasn't totally sure restoring mac OSX would work). Windows couldn't remove some of the partitions. So i had to change some of them in Fdisk guid partitions were marked as non deletable. Eventually after some fiddling I got all the partitions, off. Installed windows 8, (should have installed 7 then upgraded to 8, if you don't go in this order then you will have to call microsoft when their tech support is available.) Then to get the touch pad not to be annoying i changed a registry setting to disable tap to click.

The Netflix app wouldn't work without new video drivers. Then I had issues with the keyboard unless if the bootcamp applet was loaded.

The brightness up and down weren't working. Had to change some settings in the power options to get it to stop being too dim. Then had problems with sound drivers, they didn't work right either. It was still doing some weird stuff like. So eventually I decided to go back to mac OSX. So I rebooted with command-R and the computer booted and showed a globe for the apple recovery. It took 6 minutes to load the recovery up. Then after I installed lion i had to download all my updates and put my data back. The apple recovery worked even after all partitions had been destroyed. So i was pleased with the internet recovery.Xcode is Apple’s IDE for creating applications for Mac, iPhone and iPad.
